I ordered an after market rear disk for an FJ1200. The disk has arrived but
is the type with all the holes in it. I've only ever seen these used as
front disks on FJ's. Has anyone seen them used on the rear or have I had the
wrong type of disk sent.

Aren't the holes just for cooling and cleaning out dust and water
particles? If that's so, then all disks should be holed regardless of
which end of the bike they're going on.
