far enough to find an answer------anybody have recommendations for the
cheapest insurance rates for bikes? Thanks a lot!

I was with Kingsway, and I don't think I will ever go back. They raped me
of my money, and threaten to cancel my insurance 4 times in the course of 2
years. They got all pissy when they would send me the notice that I had to
pay them ,and I get the letter 2 days after the money was due, so they send
me a letter stating that if the balance was not paid within 10 days my
insurance would be canceled. So the money would get there the day of, or
the day before the letter said my insurance would be canceled.

so to make this long story stop... I would check out
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.rbcinsurance.com" target="_blank">http://www.rbcinsurance.com</a> . I checked their rates, and was surprised at
how much cheaper they were. almost $300 per year. Not to mention that
Kingsway wanted an additional 120% surcharge for an 89 Ninja 600 on top of
their ridiculous rates. RBC wanted $498 per year for my 82 Nighthawk 750,
and $497 for the Ninja. Go Figure?

I did the big insurance company hunt when I arrived from the west coast last
year. When the dust settled it was Primmum insurance that won my business. I
have a monthly pay plan with them that spreads the cost over the riding
season (I pay only during the riding months - I think it is Apr - Oct but I
may be wrong on the exact months). The yearly rate was the best I could
find...
Good luck in the hunt!

I use Primmum for my dirtbike. Only 27.00 per month. Includes the bike,
trailer, gear and tools.
Also covers collision ( which is truly bizarre for a dirtbike )

27/mo??! Jeez, what do they ding you guys for car insurance rates
down East? I have my bike insurance through AMA - it's about $130 per
year here in Alberta! Mind you, that's PL/PD only, no collision or
theft - but who needs it on an '80 Honda 750 that only cost me $1500
in the first place...

Try contacting Primmum today, Saturday December 27, if you have a car,
motorcycle accident, or you house burns down. All you will get is an
answering system. I hope this is not an indicatin of how they will
handle a claim.
