I could see from the pix that it's utterly unmolested, and so it proved.
The chroms is also amazingly good for such an old bike.
Camchain's rattling a bit, because people never know how to adjust it
on the OHC125 (fully manual system), so I'll sort that out, check the
clearances, points, carb settings and change the oil. And then....
....dunno, actually. Might hold onto it for a year for Helen. Might play
with it. Will probably flog it on. £310 is stupidly cheap for a lovely
classic little Honda learner bike. Cleaned up, serviced, and with a new
MoT it's got to be £500.
Went to Kempton today, too. Picked up a new Dunlop K82 for the 400 Four,
to replace the gashed rear tyre. All of £42, which I thought was a
bargain.
So this afternoon I whipped out the back wheel, replaced the broken
spoke (that was an interesting exercise as I had to undo a second spoke
to put the new one in, IYSWIM, and was worried about this process
repeating itself around the rim) and fitted the new tyre.
Next step is to MoT the SL125..... And I *must* find an old CB125S front
wheel, because I need the hub to lace onto a new 21" rim for the SL.
Anyone got A Nold CB125 front wheel? Drum brake? And no, a CG125[1]
front wheel is different.

The worst I've ever seen was the '85 & '86 Yamaha YZ 250s with their
'Z-spoke' wheels. Horrible bloody things. Nobody does aftermarket
spokes for them, so one ends up replacing the wheel or a dealer bodges
some spokes up (badly).

Looks nice.
I always suspect little bikes with big carriers of having a previous life
in pizza delivery but this one looks too good for that.
Great for buzzing around town in heavy traffic if you can sharpen up the
brakes a bit. >> Stay informed about: Another bike in the garage |

A good day for me as well, the RD350 went through the MOT with its
replacement frame (now on a C plate). I'll post some pics tomorrow, but
the MOT tester loved it and I got a small audience as he tested it,
which was nice.
Would you believe a mint RD F2 went on ebay for 3.8k a month or so
ago.... I'm actually thinking I might have broken even on mine!
Reckoning on doing a full resto on my Turbo this winter, hey ho, it's
only money....

We could try to convince Platy to stick his dustbin fairing on it and
take it to Chimay next year?

The dustbin fairing is supposed to be going on the Z200 now.
