No?, how about a couple of transvetites? Would you belive an 75 year old
Chinaman?
Don Adams died today. I used to work on his cars in the early 80s. He was a
great guy and a good customer.

You only think it's cool because you never had to work on one. Someday I'll
tell you about shoehorning the engine into a Sunbeam Tiger... or even just
changing the sparkplugs!

Bring a lunch.

Oh, yeah -- it was one of those cars designed to accomodate an
inline 4 cyl engine that a V8 was stuffed into. Lifting the
engine to change sparkplugs? Wouldn't be the only car with
that problem.

Uh, no, the Tiger had a plug in the firewall/ right-hand footwell panel that
had to be removed to get to the right rear sparkplug.
Once done, you wormed your way face down into the footwell with your socket
wrench in hand, and commenced to remove the plug itself.

Oh, the joy...

Everything I work on feels like that. From the 64 bug to the 71 Suzuki
125. The newer bikes scare me. I read the shop manaul for the F4i. Step
1 to replacing the air filter: remove fuel tank. sheeesh.

That's like my Ducati. Step one for just about any non-trivial
maintenance is to remove the rear-view mirrors.
