Clicking, tapping, burping. It's a noisy motor. Ignore it. The
castings are thinner and you can hear stuff that used to be better
insulated.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

First determine if the noise is going crankshaft speed or 1/2 crankshaft
speed...

If the noise correlates to crankshaft speed it may be as simple as
leaky exhaust gases or serious as a damaged piston...

If the noise correlates to 1/2 crankshaft speed then it's going camshaft
speed... it may be as simple as a valve adjustment or serious as a
broken valve spring...

To really pin point the exact location hold a long handle screw drive to
your ear and rest the other end on the suspect engine part... it will
magnify the clicking sound... it also helps to muffle the exhaust note
with a rag during this operation...

Keep us posted on the results...

There are no results to be had. Clicking noise is normal for the R6
motor.

Seriously this is one bulletproof engine provided you don't eat the
dogs up on the 1-2 shift midst wheelie.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
