Anyone got a tip on a good web-based Honda parts house? Looking for
83 CB1000 stuff. More interested in decent OEM rather than universal-
fit JC Whitney style. West Coast even better.

Local Honda store expects us to pony up $10 a quart for Spectrol now.
Yeah, right.

Their shipping charges aren't exactly cheap, so you'd better combine a
bunch of stuff on each order. I've had good luck with them and they're
easy to deal with.

For Honda parts I always have used http://servicehonda.com. They have
a remarkably good online "microfiche" system, better than
http://ronayers.com, and no one beats Service Honda's prices. Their
minimum shipping charge is about the same as Ron Ayers.

I've also used Ron Ayers for Suzuki and some Kawasaki parts, and for
tires, they're reasonably priced but Service Honda has better fiche
support for my older Hondas than Ron Ayers.

If you pay more than 93 cents a quart for oil to go into an 83 CB1000,
you are an idiot or a fool... or both.

Not many can beat that CR500 motored CRF450 chassis either. Wink

Bike Bandit has most of the OEM parts still available for old honda
bikes and they also have the parts diagrams from the microfiche
available online to look at for free. Also, if you're an AMA member,
you get a discount if you give them your ama number.
