Booked to go to the WSB at Monza In May, never been to Italy before,
does anyone have any info as to where might be the best place to stay?

TIA

Hotel De La Ville. Right across the street from Monza park.
It's where the Renault F1 team stays. The owner of the hotel
is a rider, we talked a little about bikes with him when
I stayed there in October. Probably sold out already though.
And it's not at all cheap.

You could also try the Regency Hotel (not too far away) in
Lissone, or the "Hotel Re", also in Lissone. I stayed at
the Regency and it's nice enough. I don't know anything
about the Re other than it's right off SS36.

Been through, but never stopped, but I'll ask a few of my mates who work for
Williams tomorrow to see if they can offer something up.

Is about an hour and a half away, and is absolutely fabulous, stayed there
twice now, and cant rate it high enough.

The venere website is good for finding italian hotels.

We stayed at a tiny traditional hotel in the centre of Monza, the
'Fantello', years ago, on the Milan and back in a week by Nordwest trip.
Not expensive with rather run down rooms, but the food was very
authentic.

We also camped on a site right next to the circuit one summer. With no
event on it was fine, but I imagine it is pretty overcrowded when WSB is
on.
