I recently bought a '89 Vmax with supertrapp slip ons. I am considering
putting back the stock exhaust. Is it likely the carbs were re-jetted for
the supertrapps, and how can I tell?
Thanks
Pete

My experience is mostly with V-Star and Road Star BUT I have found that if
the air cleaner was not changed but the pipes were, or vice-versa, most
people and or dealers do not re-jet. Put the stockers back on and you will
know if it is running too rich because the cold rideability will change
radically as will the mid range throttle response, if it is at all like the
"Stars".<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
