Yamaha wants $60 for the service manual. Wow, I was thinking maybe
forty. But wait, the "supplemental service manual" is another $25.
That's 85 bucks! So you swallow hard, cuff yourself once or twice for
even thinking of breathing a word of it to you know who, and then you
steel yourself to grudgingly and resentfully divulge your credit card
info, when suddenly ... Wait a sec! Add another $9.50 for shipping
"in 5 to 7 business days." Total: $94.50!!! Are these people
kidding? So we're talkin' almost a hundred bucks for a service manual
that might not be all that hot anyway. I thought these Yamahas were
supposed to cater to people who can't afford a Harley? What am I,
made of money? Gimme a break, Yamaha. I buy one of your frigging
motorcycles and you expect me to care for it properly, don't you?
Some reason you gotta charge a king's ransom for one of your fucking
manuals? Geez, what gall. >> Stay informed about: VStar Classic 650 Service Manual |

Found several sites selling them just by searching for motorcycle
repair manuals on MSN. Haynes, however, doesn't appear to make a
manual for the VStar 650 Classic. Clymer does. I ordered one for
about 30 bucks, including shipping. It is for 1998-2003 but I figure
it ought to cover most of what is on the 2004. Sure beats $94.50.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: VStar Classic 650 Service Manual |
