The filter is only a few months old and the tank was completely cleaned when
it was installed. The filter still looks clean and there wasn't a spec of
dirt in the carbs or inlet screens. I scrubbed the S%$T out of all the carbs
and raised the float a tiny bit in the cylinder that was flooding. I don't
want to test it because I drained my oil to see if it was full of gas (there
may have been a bit but it was still thick and I only got 3.8L out of it)
and I only had 2L of good quality oil around. I had to fill the rest with a
mix of 5/30, 10/40 and 10/30 car oils. I know ... bad idea but it's only a
10 mile drive to work and I can change it there. I just hope the Kawasaki
small engine filters we have in stock are the same as the motorcycle
filters. I think I'll just take the bike to a dealer and have everything
done properly. Thanx for your help !
