I have a 2004 V-Star 1100 classic and would like to get a nice comfortable
touring seat for it. Looking at a Mustang with a removable fold down drivers
back rest. Took a 200 mile ride with a friend and his 2004 HD heritage
softail. My butt was burning after 100 miles his wasn't after 200. How about
Corbin seats? Any comments appreciated before I decide.

I got an "Original" PCS seat. Worlds of difference. And cheap!

I tried the PCS seat and it was a lot better than the stock seat but
still not good enough. I then bought a Mustang and it's a lot better.
Would recommend Mustang. Corbin was in bankruptcy but don't know if
that has been resolved.

Interesting news about Corbin! Where did you hear about that? I think
they're still advertising, are they not? When I get my next bike this
spring, I was considering a Corbin seat. I guess I'll have to rethink that
and consider a Mustang seat. Yamaha makes a pretty seat, they just aren't
very comfortable in the long haul.

I've got a mustang seat for my virago, not only does it make my butt not
hurt... it had an unexpected side effect, it really quieted down the rear
end... my wife no longer bitches in my ear... ~D

I heard about it on some of the Delphi motorcycle news groups I
monitor. They are still in business but some of the guys think the
quality has gone down. So don't know but would be careful and check
them out before I would buy a Corbin.

It was the electric car company that Corbin also had that went bankrupt.
I've heard nothing about any problems with the "seat" company.
