Don't use a shiny chrome plated R clip when a manky old splitpin will do.
Some urchin will steal it to use on his pushbike and your gear lever
will disconnect itself from the engine at an embarrassing moment.
Or am I maligning the youth of Nuneaton? Has anyone ever had an R clip fail?
