I'm going to need new tires soon. The current tires are Dunlop D404's.
Should I stay with these or go with another brand? Any recommendations?

I just purchased the ME-880 tires and they really stick to the road.
Highly recommended.

they wear out awfully fast and are expensive. here in the
mojave desert, i buy the chang chin hi-vals. they are very
hard compound and hold up to the heat. i get 2 seasons of
about 25k out of them.
metzlers are great on sport bikes. do they make
cruiser-formula tires? do they hold up under heat?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

What are Chang Chin Hi-Vals? The only Chang Chin tires I found on the net
were for bicycles.
