Post subject: Thanks Snag...
Archived from groups: rec>motorcycles>harley (more info?)

Got the E3's' installed on the FXR (by hand) today and took them out for
break-in, plus a few "fun" miles. (Hey, what's the point of breaking them
in, if you're not gonna have some fun once they're cooked?)

We have a plethora of inline cracks in the pavement around these parts, and
the D401s were pretty squirelly running through them. Assuming it's because
they only have diagonal treads, the E3's seem immune to all but the biggest
and baddest of them (the ones you can see well enough in advance to know
they're trouble). That makes the many 45/50MPH roads around here a _lot_
more fun, and less dangerous at 10-15 over.

Seems like a great choice in tire. Thanks for the recommendation. Now, if I
can just get 10-12k out of them, I should be all set until next July.

Oh, and IMO, they are a smoother riding tire, period.

Have a drink on me.
