Hot seat - When I ride the SV650 to work, the only place to park is a bright and sunny paddock. If I want to park in the shade, it has to be at the most extreme end of a very large parking lot. At the end of the day, the seat is VERY hot. How can I keep..

ZX-6R hot seat - I have noticed that the seat of my ZX-6R gets really hot while riding. Has anyone else had this problem? I have never heard anyone mention it about Kawasakis before. I always heard they were sport touring I doubt it if they all get as hot..

Seat Question - I'm modifying my SV1000 for longer jaunts. What's better, in your opinion, for the price? Suzuki Gel for factory seat: $84 Corbin front seat: $245 Also, I'm moving the back a bit. Any on a good bar riser..

Can you really trust the specs?

For reference:

Uly - 31.8
Aprilia - 32.2
F4i - 31.9
Versys - 33.1
KLR - 35.0

Ok, There is no way the Buell is lower than my F4i and it is definitely
higher than the Aprilia.

Troy says the Versys is taller than the KLR?

Is a 650 Verysys really taller than the litre Aprilia? I guess you really
have to go sit on them.

About the same. The Buell is in the same ballpark of those two if I recall
how much of my feet I had on the ground when I test rode that one last
summer.

I was quite comfortable on the Versys, but then I was usually the same on
the KLR. One foot down only doesn't bother me much. Heck, I can't flatfoot
my sv.

The uly is speced as 'fully laden' IIRC. In other words, with a 175LB
rider aboard.

There should be an industry standard for seat heights (laden vs.
unladen), but most people are overly bothered by a tall seat.

As long as you learn to only park facing up hills, and can get one
foot down at stops, it shouldn't really matter. I like a tall seat -
but a lot of first time riders on taller bikes freak out after a show
room test sit and never even try the bike under power.
