I made a big mistake yesterday. I went into the local Yamaha dealer, to sit
on the Vstar 1100 Silverado and decided to try on the 1700 Road Star
Silverado.............For an extra $5k you get so much more..... Now all I
have to do is convince my wife it's a real good idea to spend the extra
cash....... "But dear, we can't take it with us......"

Stick with the V-Star 1100. It's shaft drive for one, low maintanence. But
get a classic instead and customize it yourself like I did to my 2004
XVS-1100. You can put better suff on it than comes standard with the
Silverado package. you will get a great bike for less money.
