Hi folks.

For those regulars up at Mt.White cafe, Ian died.

The plan is to meet up at Berowra Mobil servo at 11.00 tomorrow, ride to
Mt.White, into Gosford some place I can't remember and then on out to
Palmdale for the funeral, at 1.30pm.

  regards,

Sad to hear another motorcyclist is killed, on his bike I assume,
condolences to all.

Actually, no.

Ian didn't die as a result of his passion for motorcycling.

He was a good bloke. He got ill, and, after a fairly unpleasant few
months, he died.

Still sad, tho.

Aye, well, you remember how it felt when you broke the drive rubber band
on that device of yours?

Well, I got a similar feeling.... Down the hill to Mooney, everything
was sweet. Backed off going into the 60 zone, idled thru, and then eased
on the throttle....revs rose, but nothing else happened. Sad

When I rolled the bike backwards, out popped the front sprocket.

About then, I was wishing I hadn't left you the remains of the Jim Beam.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I got a ride home in one of those
Merc vans that the ambos use, but got to sit up front and sleep.....

It was cold and dark when I got home....and the garage was only half-full.

Well, at 180 dollars for Tuesday's rescue, you could probably do worse
than that as a business. <sigh>

Although who gets to load the dead bike in the horse float, given you
and me both have fucked backs?

Easy - you use a double horse float, and have a horse in one side.

The trick will be teaching the horse to push the bike up the ramp...
