A case of 1999 Chateau La Tour Figeac Grand Cru arrived this afternoon
courtesy of the Sunday Times wine club competition.

Oh dear .... <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.wine-journal.com/figeac.html" target="_blank">http://www.wine-journal.com/figeac.html</a>

"Chateau Figeac is a perplexing wine that can be frustratingly
inconsistent. Reading my notes, they form a roller-coaster ride from the
heights of sumptuous bottles of 1955, 1964, 1985 and 1990 and the depths
of lily-livered weaklings such as the 1981, 1983 and 1999. "
