What's the best way to remove the Yamaha decal on the back of the
VStars?

Also the silver "Classic" emblem on the front fender is kind of
annoying... any recommendations on how to remove that without doing
any damage?

Thanks!

they are clearcoated, which is a layer of clear paint over
them.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Actually the decal on the back looks removable with a fingernail...
it's actually individual decals that spell Yamaha.

I think on the 650 the Classic emblem on the front fender is painted
over but on the 1100 it's a plastic or metal piece. I'd like to keep
the VStar logo on the tank for now... but am curious about removing
that as well.

I'm just wondering what the best way is to remove it without damaging
anything. I think I can probably get the Yamaha decal off no
problem... just have to make sure I don't scratch the paint.

Thanks

Joe,
I did take mine off with my fingernail, just be careful and after that you
can use fishing line on the emblems to get them off...heat with a hair dryer
(be careful) and then run the fishing line under it to pry loose. When your
all done, you'll have some sticky stuff left just use "goof off" to get it
off. Wash, wax, polish, whatever and you'll never even know they were there.

All these might work but not as good as a thin piece of fishing string work
in and pulled through.

Non wax dental floss is what I have used for emblems, for decals a
hair dryer... NOT a heat gun will make for easy removal.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
