He. And he's not having it, for a number of reasons.

I am going to get shot of it, though. I've had my fun, but I don't enjoy it
enough to justify taking up the driveway and having to maintain it etc, and
it's probably the least practical conveyance I've ever owned.

I read this before Ben's bit, and for a few seconds I was wondering
which Python sketch you were quoting from.

Dunno, but with a bit of luck it might stop the high-street preacher
types, like there was one of in Oxford Street. They certainly incite
my hatred against whatever religion they're preaching about.

here's a funny thing.

Outside West Ham, on a match-day, there's a guy on a pushbike with a
loudhailer. He's old and black, and rides very slowly (one-handed)
while either singing tunelessly or "preaching" through the loudhailer.

You would expect that football fans, being boorish and pagan and
vulgar and stupid, would give this guy a hard time. But they don't
(at least, the West Ham fans don't). He's regarded as a harmless,
idiosyncratic, charming piece of life's rich tapestry.

Do you mind! I would never belittle a charming piece of life's rich
tapestry.

The very thought.
