Hi all, l need your opinion. l got enough cash to either get a unknown brand
of rear shocks or well known brand which are second hand and have been on a

cycle

presuming you have a katnana 1100 you are looking a twin shocks. what are
you looking at either new or s/h.

i imagine a set of second hand shocks a year old havent done that much hard
work and could be the go ????

Konis and Ikons are said to use the same tooling and have interchangable
parts, so having said that go for the new ones.

I've had a set for several months on the 750---spring preload is on 2nd of 3
settings,and damping on 3rd highest of 4 (for gentle commuting,with a
gearsack---and I weigh 9 1/2 stone).
Still underdamped (esp. compression, which is nonadjustable)---I *knew* I
shoulda gone the White Powers,at $1700-1800...

Are the White Powers those shiny white things that hang from your hips and
hold your feet on?

Naah; I got them for a very special price through a mate and it all just
seemed a bit awkward and bite-the-hand-that-feeds-you to then turn around
and make him send them back so I just decided to get them rebuilt with
heavier oil.....
.....now that I've made the decision I might even turn it into action in
another year or two!

A rebuild with heavier oil for Ikons should take all of 20 minutes.

This buggery must be very bad thing, It
Shakes to buggery
rattles like buggery (although that could be the clackers or the maraccas)
hurts like buggery (doing it the wrong way)
underdamped to buggery

Can buggery countersteer?
