All AMA Superbike races are on SpeedTV on Demand! if you have digital cable.

Not to be a wet blanket but besides a different track, if you watched
the last 4-5 the results were almost identical. Boring..........

What? Mladin was on a tear, and the championship went down to the last
race.
In the past 3 weeks Spies had crashed at least 2x. How is that boring?

*****
Spoiler alert

Spies won by I think 3 points.

Actually 1 point! I really thought Mladin had it (championship) in the bag
considering how he's been pulling away from Spies in the last few races. It
was great to see Spies stay on Mat, but when he started to drop back I
thought *here we go again*, but then he picked up the pace. But is it just
me, or is it possible Mat was sandbagging at the end, after Spies took the
lead at the corkscrew? Think about it, Spies has MotoGP aspirations and
what a confidence boost to defend his championship and do it by digging down
deep to find something he didn't know he had in him?

I don't think Matt would give up the #1 plate out of the kindness of
his heart. Look at the facts:

- Matt is a dick would never do this. Face it, he has been a dick
with some of the lowest fan support I have seen (how many Matt hats
and shirts do you see out there). It has been this way for the last
10 years - which is why he never had the fan base someone like Scott
Russell or DuHamel or Hayden had when they were on top of the AMA.
Hell, even Troy Corser had a bigger following the time he was in the
AMA. We would even give Neil Hodson a chance if he could win a damn
race. In addition, most people would rather Matt had gotten out of
AMA after he won a few #1 plates just like Hayden did (he won 1),
Scott Russell, and others.

- Matt and Ben have not been co-operating since they have been
teammates. There is example after example of this.

- No matter how unpopular Matt is I give him his due. He has worked
hard this season to win a lot of races and to hang with Ben. He
didn't do all that to give it to Ben on the last race of the season.

Also, thank God Ben came along (and Nicky) for one year in the last 10
to take Matt on and get the #1 plate. Ben will be gone for sure now
that he has won it two years running.

Finally, to the guy who said the last few races were boring and why
would I want to see it. The reason is the race came down to the line
and it was the last race of the season. Hell, just a few weeks ago at
Race one of Road Atlanta Ben crashed and it looked like he would get a
DNF and the season was over. He got back on before the restart,
started last, and finished 2nd to keep in the points hunt. Real
boring huh?

Anyway, I have speed but not digital cable. I usually tape with
Snapstream and watch on the ipod but had some trouble taping (ugggg,
every race this year but that one worked). I would still like to see
it if someone can post it to a binary group.

Since people reading this are on newsgroups you should download some
of the MotoGP races uploaded by the Britts. The resolution is amazing
and you get an hour of qualifing and a 1 hour pre-show before the race
which is stunning.
