Hey - that's great. Sounds like the right bike at the right
time. Wink Always good to get a few mods along the way, too.

And it is the more economical choice, which means "More money for
tires and gas!" That, along with the steady performance, is what I
love most about Suzuki's.

The Helibar Tracstar set up might be an ideal solution for the clip-
ons and make the bike a bit easier on the body.

One dissapointing thing is the front suspension is not adjustable. The rear
might not be either, although it should at least have a preload adjustment.
The brakes are downgraded too. The engine makes less HP & torque than the
Daytona 675 also. Redline's at 13k vs 14k.. So this bike isn't a Daytona
sans bodywork and clipons. This bike might not live up to the hype.

That's all true. Though the dyno figures are only very slightly less,
as I understand it, and can be remedied with TOR mapping (which is
usually free from the dealer - no power commander needed!) and
airfilter and exhaust mods. With those changes, the St Trip will
probably run up to 112-115 HP. And I believe the little fighter has
the same rear shock (which is good, but not great - and also sprung
for a 220 lb. rider).

But all that is also why I went with a Daytona 675 and took the
plastic off. Still depating what to do with the clip-ons though....
