I'll second that emotion. I have the choice of an all-day meeting
at Imperial College or a lunch-time seminar in the BITLab next Friday.
A multitude of sucking insects sez I should stay for the seminar... But
with a following wind and a one-day Travelcard I can then venture into the
City with impunity!

It's not "clique" drinks; it's "grumpy old fuckers" drinks.

But you can still come if you want to.

I thought if we made it "GOF" drinks we might tempt NimbyTim out of
hiding.

There's a chance I might be working at University College in Kings
Cross next Friday so I'll avoid you lot like the plague.

Innit? I am disappointed now. My only reason for even thinking of
coming was that now I am in the clique I can legitimately deny
everything including any interest in socialising with the clique.

OTOH though...

I just might.

Yes it is the real clique, Des said.

Mind you, he didn't say what level clique it was so you could be right.

Hmm, I wasn't aware that UCL had property at KingsX, all the stuff
I know about (and worked at) was kitty-corner to Euston, along Gower St.

I don't know the exact address because I haven't been yet but it's
on the foad construction site with a Shepherds crane above it.
They've knocked down one of the old buildings and they're rebuilding
it from the cellar floor upwards. We've got to do some work on the
steel risers to make sure everything has a stable base when they
start building. They must think I know something about this shit...

As a level 1 member I feel I might have to come along and make sure
no infiltrators sneak in.

That's not the new hospital building, is it? I haven't been around
UCL for a while, but I think they were preparing to build between Gower St
and Warren St, as well as the big 'ole in Gower Place behind the entrance
to Euston Square tube.
