Do you have hp ratings for the Warrior? A friend at work is thinking
about buying one and said he couldn't find any numbers on the net.

I think it's about 70 hp and 90 ft*lbs at ~2800 rpm. I can tell you
it's plenty friggin fast < 100 mph and above that you better be a 20
chin up man if you intend to hold on very long.

The bike's ergos bothered the hell out of me for awhile. The forward
pegs had wind speeds over 60 mph spreading my legs like a gyno doc and
the seat cricked my lower back causing me to pay undue attention to my
posture...prolly a good thing that sucking in my gut bit.

Anyway, I got the bright idea of sitting on a pillow and voila...the
bike is suddenly way comfy. Never as good as an ST with legs below
your waist, but very reasonable. I no longer have to sit at attention
to override the back pain and the slight difference in the slope of my
legs almost totally relieves the pabstsmear stretch too.

I was thinking of ordering a $1000 Corbin with an extra inch or so of
padding, but I may just buy a black cover for the living room pillow
I've been using.

The bike has a very compliant suspension and brakes are modern gear
give me everything I expect. The engine is da bomb...very
motorsickely. Fueling was dead nuts stock and just a tad lurchy with
the mods I've made, but compared to the care that must be given to the
FJR throttle, this thing is so easy to ride it'll make a novice look
like Rossi. And it sounds so supple titty when I get in the gas.

Clearance is an issue, but I can still lean it further than prolly 90%
of GSXR wannabes before the left peg scrapes. The Muzzy pipe bites
the dust on the right before I can even get to the peg. I was
thinking of Dremmeling off the bottom quarter of that heat shield.

Reading through the service manual I was a little disappointed to see
the damn thing requires valve adjustments. (Note, I bought a CD copy
on ebay for $13.00 only to find the PDF for free on the Warrior site a
few days later for free.) Good thing is, no stinkin shims required.
A feeler guage and a wrench will cover it. Other than that, change
the oil, belt, filters, and grease the bearings from time to time. My
kinda maintenance plan.

What else...everyone tells me how kewl it is. Being an pudgy, grundgy
ST kinda guy I'm not used to all the hoopla. But WTF, hasn't everyone
got a little artist in em?
