We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the

something like:

Aye. I suspect you'll be the focus of their desire to get all digital on
your aperture as you zoom off.

Stop right there.

If you're after a Kawasaki two-stroke - get a proper one.

YKIMS.

Fook off. I used to have a 500 Mach3. Never, ever, ever again. Well maybe if
the price was right, which it won't be.
I preferred though my old 'mad-as-a-box-of-frogs' road legal KX500. Now
there's a _proper_ Kwak 2 stroke.

When I first built the 'Bitza trio' I used to ride the 250 SWM on the
road with its grafted on Marzocchi fork legs and front wheel from a
Morini (hence reasonably decent brake). It was, great, great fun.

I can well remember warming up my LC after doing something to it,
carbs or something, and it had oiled up. Thick plumes of blue smoke
wafted gently across a neigbour's garden where, unfortunately, said
neigbour had just hung up the washing. And left the windows open.

She had Words. Lots of them.

As is only proper. One must pamp^^^ <cough> _look after_ the strokers in
the correct fashion. My MachIII wouldn't play at all if left out overnight.
The KX500 however, started just fine even after a 'dip' (read as: *complete*
submersion) in a river on Salisbury Plain.

I wonder how hard it would be to fit a big stroker single into a 400
sports chassis.

It's amazing what can be done with enough determination. Easier in the
air-cooled days though. There have been some nteresting hill climb
specials. Even a CR500 powered outfit a few years ago. There was
certainly a 500 air cooled KTM MX engine in a Benelli 2C frame.

More common to put a big single or twin into a smaller frame though.
TZR250s being a favourite base. Think Aprilia 1000 in a 250 frame.
