You swine.
I'll have you know I was riding two strokes before your category A
entitlement was but a twinkle in a DVLA employee's eye.

Don't do it. If you do decide to invest in every powervalve you can lay
your hands on - they snap off at the top as soon as you look at them.
Also, ignore the manuals when putting the head on. Toque the head to the
barrels with the barrels loose enough to wander a bit, and then bolt the
barrels down and torque them.
You'll be doing this alot, so get used to it.

That was why I junked the engine in ine ad fitted a Yamaha Powervalve
lump. you;d have thought Kawaski would have finally managed to make a
piston for them that doesn't let the ring retaining pins fall out.

This I have heqard about 6 times today alone. A YPVS does seem to be the
better choice, even if more expensive initially.

Noted.

This is starting to sound like a story I've known before with strokers.
Bollocks.
Still tempted but not so much as before.

They do have a reputation.
My best mate was warranty manager at a big Kwak dealer when they were
current, and he did despair of them. However, he said that if you
used top quality two stroke and *always* warmed them fully before
riding them, then they weren't as bad as everyone said.
