I have the chance of picking up a KR1S for not too much cash at all. I'm
assuming that this will cost me a rebuild at least but I've always had a
hankering for one of these since I was *soundly* thrashed on a regular basis
by a local girl on one on my regular commute a few years ago. They really do
bloody move!
Any real problems with these to use as a road 'toy' or are they really as
fragile as I've heard. I've had a mooch around the KR! forum but as you'd
expect this is inhabited by serious KR! pervs.
Someone please stop me...as they say.
Cheers,
JB

'Gwan, you know you want to. A mate of mine's son has one and loves it.

However, he keeps saying he will take it over to the Manx with us but
always ends up on his CBR600, so draw your own conclusions.

YKIMS

I parsed that as YPVS. There is a "road legal racer" RD250LC for sale on
the NHCA forum as it happens.

They're fragile. Piston/ring problems, mostly.

In fact it was a link to Ebay item 110218754234 (bidding ended).
A bit pricey to say the least.

Two strokes are best owned in identical pairs.

Ah. Service items then as I've heard. Not too much hassle to change though
as long as the bits don't kill the crank/crank seals.
I do *so* miss the rrrriiiing-a-ding-dading-ding-ding..etc...
I just missed an X7 in the local rag for £100ono too. I must have a problem.

Amen. I'll be looking for a spare RGV after I've moved next year. Need
to find somewhere doing TTS cheap too - was shocked to get through a
whole bottle in 300 miles, but it matched the fuel consumption.
