as an FYI- the Enumclaw Suzuki one will be pretty much a free for all. the
Adrenaline Freaks days are very well organized and separated according to
riding ability, with "instructors" monitoring the groups and pulling the
scary riders off the track for you.

be sure to post which one you're interested in, maybe i'll get my ass into
my leathers and get some track time in myself.

The daytona will be ready for the oct. date, weather permitting. Mary said
I could ride on the track all I want, as long as my life insurance is in
order! She's a keeper!

Dan's already got space lined up in my truck (Karri's truck, actually). The
more trucks the merrier, though! Andrew, since you're in Maui, maybe you'd
like for me to take your two bikes to the track and stretch their legs a bit
while you're gone? Just so they're not bored?

In my experience with them, a rider has to be Jeffrey Dahmer scary to get a
spontaneous talking-to by one of the organizers. If you're just mildly inept
and choose awful lines, you'll be completely left alone... UNLESS you happen
to cut off one of the "instructors".

I know they only have so many eyes on the track at one time, though, so I
don't hesitate to tell them when I see bad stuff happening. Like the last
time when a prick on an R1 (not me) repeatedly screamed through the pit area
at 40+ mph on his way to or from the grid. I made sure he got spoken to.

Dude we should hook up one day when my girlfriend is out scuba diving. I'm
not really into that, more of a snorkeling guy myself. I will be looking
for things to do on those days.

Can you just take the Daytona and Speed Triple to the track and ship the R1
to Maui so I can have something to ride there? I would really appreciate

I'm actually on AZTrackday or somebodies mailing list, they sent me an email
last night offering, musta been this weekend, for like $129 for the whole
day. Being the type to consider a trackday anywhere, I quickly bopped over
to weather.com and discovered that while we might be in the throes of fall
here in Denver, Phoenix weather for this weekend is in the balmy 102F range
during the day.

Fat guys retain heat too well...I'll just have to leave Phoenix trackdays

1) Yes, they are a free-for-all

2) that door swings both ways: if you're fast enough to keep away from
trouble, usually you can. Problems start when following behind
unpredictable people, or allowing them to run up your tailpipe. Same
rules the 'Slide, i.e.

I've only been to one E.S. day, which was great. Got about 80 laps
in, limited only by the heat (100 degrees that afternoon), else I'd
have tried for a 100. I don't see that one can get that many laps in
at AF, though no offense to AF.

Just got my tires on today, in addition to a tasty new Ohlins steering
damper. I'm going, come hell or high water. If it rains, though, I'm
SOL.
