Ping Dan B. - Any word on the on your tire which caused the high side at Pacific? I'm heading out to a faster track this coming weekend, still on street tires, wondering how long someone can play with a hand grenade minus the pin and live to talk about it.

Ping Dan B. - How you like the 636 as a track only bike? Been eyeing them up lately. Hows it run compared good chance I'll have ridden an analog.

Ping------->x-lax - Hey Larry, My buddy wants heli bars for his 1995 Guzzi 1100 sport. Heli will not make him a set. Could you make them in your little shop? Let me know. Regards Mike

Ping Dan B. - You mentioned a trackday at the ghetto track here in a week or two? Which track is the track, who runs the day, rules, regs, etc etc. Curious.

Ping Bob - This was your tentative schedule. I suppose the bad news is if I were you I wouldn't want to ride Saturday or Sunday morning either. Maybe this just isn't going to work, out of deference to your age and wisdom. The problem as I see it isn't in my riding,.

Yo Alf, how would you describe the vibration, if any, in your FZ1? ( I think
you have a GenI, right ).

And when you rode that Buell with Steve, how did that compare?

Hands down Buell wins...until you come to stop light. Even the
Sportster I rode in Alaska was buttery smooth. They've started
rubbermounting those too now. The last Sporty I rode would shake your
teeth loose.

yeah it is gen1, cruising at 65-80, 5th gear yields indeed some I would
call slight vibrations mostly sensed in the handlebars. During the
longer even longer ride they are easy to disregard becasue of other
snesations FZ-1 provides. I am kind of perfectionist, so I imagine other
people would have to notice that. Having said that I would consider
rather gen2 which got much better suspension, modern frame as well as FI.

The Buells and newer sportsters have some drawbacks, but vibration at
speed is not one of them. I'll take that over the i4 buzz any day Smile
