Went to the doctor this morning and got a thorough going over. No worries.
I am not as sore as I expected to be, but still have a general body hurt. No
limping. Now I have to get the bike in order for my part of NART. OH yea, I
figured out how the windshield got smashed down. I located another point of
impact while shaving this morning. MY chin must have impacted the top edge
of the windshield. Now I can reconstruct what my body did. I would say that
on impact I flew up and came down, chin on windshield and elbow on the tank.
Maybe. Then I am further guessing that the edge of the windshield sheared my
finger nail while collapsing. That for what it's worth.
Thanks so much for the advice all. Carry on.

I'm glad to hear you're ok. I hope your bike won't take much to get
back on the road now. Good luck with it.

Hank I am a conservative. I want to conserve the lives of American
soldiers, conserve American military resources for when we need them,
conserve American money to use for Americans.

I need a front fender and I need to get the forks checked to make sure
everything is square. The car hit the tire and shoved the bike backwards. I
was going slow enough that I "think" I stopped, I remember hearing my tire
squeal and she hit me. I'm not blaming her but that is what happened.

Funny thing but the thumb is not painful. I expected it to hurt like hell.
I think the fact that it is open is why it does not hurt. Like if you hit
your thumb with a hammer it swells up tight like a balloon and hurts (been
there done that with a 28 oz. framing hammer). Thanks for your concern.
Crashing sucks.

You know what? I am realizing that yesterday even though I could answer
all the EMT's questions and seemed to be OK I was in a state of, well shock
for lack of a better word that I can think of now. I was alright but I was
not really. Does that make sense? I suppose the EMT knew what she was doing
since she sees this stuff all the time. It's just that now I do not think I
should have been trusted to be making decisions.

seriously wrong. Glad it turned out as well as it did. Get busy on
