Archived from groups: rec>motorcycles>racing (more info?)

A wet qualifying, 2 Aussies and Rossi on the front row, a wet race
could be very interesting, Stoner, Vermulen, Rossi and Olivier are all
great wet weather riders. Melandri, Hoppers and possibly Capirossi
may feature but I don't know if they will have the entire wet race
pace.

If it's a dry race then things change a bit, Pedrosa is very fast in
the dry, consistantly the fastest in this mornings dry practice, he
was doing early - mid 1:50's fairly consistantly where as the other
faster riders were fairly evenly matched in the early - mid 1:51's.
If Ped can get out front and maintain this mornings form he may win,
BUT he starts from 9th so may well get balked and be unable to get in
front to get away.

Notice in top speed in qualifying the fastest Yam was Rossi in 13th
place, even behind Hayden.

Race predictions......

Wet race, pretty much impossible to call, I'll go in the order I'd
like to see.

1/ Stoner
2/ Vermulen
3/ Rossi

Dry race.

Rossi
Stoner
Pedrosa
