Chaps,

Who would be the supplier of choice for carb. kits/parts? Specifically
float cover and jet block gaskets and jet block plugs. Mikuni BDS34s, they
are.

Thanks, Adie, I found and emailed them ten minutes before your reply turned
up. Nice to know my Googling efforts are coming up with recommended
suppliers.

Although in the US they were the only place I could find a particular
float valve listed. I got good technical help from them but I ended up
getting the part I needed from a dealer (Suzuki in this case).

Well... perhaps another time.

He said he had a magnificent repair kit for my beasty's carbs, just in,
containing all manner of gaskets, o-rings, jets etc., but then he sounded
quite disappointed when I pointed out that from his description the kit
didn't contain the only two parts I really wanted; the only two I actually
*needed*.

To his credit he said he'd order some to put in the kits but as I want those
bits yesterday I've had to order them from a main dealer who promises
they'll be here pdq. I'll still buy a couple of kits from Andy though,
mainly because I like taking carburettors apart. It's the accuracy of them.
I likes precision, me.

Anyway, thanks for recommending him; he's a fine chap.

Given that a carburettor has been described as a device to deliver
exactly the wrong quantity of fuel to an engine at any time, I think
you are a bit confused.

If you want accuracy, you want injection.
