What's wrong with them?

When I first saw one at the bike show I was impressed and was even
ushered off of the Sach's stand for clambering on the "prototype".
Basically an interesting alternative to the normal scooter crowd.

Looking on eBay, it appears that the 50cc version is available for under
a grand new OTR, and the 125cc variant is about £1500. Low mileage ones
are a lot cheaper, and 2 year warranty too.

Why?

I was expecting them to sell at a premium price? Surely they're great
for whizzing about town

And searching the web, it would appear that your quality observations
are not uncommon. Shame.
