Larry X, thanks for your reply especially. You described my symptom
much better than I did. The bike seems to have a hard time finding
it's natural center of balance. I checked my tire pressures yesterday
and they were about 2 psi low on both ends, so I don't think that was
the cause. I didn't notice the bike was acting a little funny at
speed on the the way home from the shop due to blustery crosswinds and
shivering from the cold. Once I got back into town and out of the
wind it became more apparent. I definately need to take it in and get
it checked out. The problem is that my "trusted" mechanic is 100
miles away so I don't know if I want to take it back to him or let the
local idiots take a shot at it. Before everyone flames my "trusted"
guy, I'll say that he had adjusted the steering head freeplay on my
old Daytona several times and I never had this problem. Besides that,
he's the only Triumph mechanic that I know of in Iowa that actually
rides Triumphs and works primarily on new Triumphs. Everyone has a
bad day once in a while I guess.
