They are calling for temps to drop tomorrow, so I guess that a lot of
people are getting in their rides while the getting is good.

I wish I was on my bike today. Two days of glorious weather and my
big trip was down to the Lowes.

The good news is I finished converting my basement to a full
motorcycle garage/workshop.

It took quite a few weekends, but the basement is great.

Dug it out - By hand.

Poured a floor (approx. 1000 Square feet)

Laid block along a 20 foot section 7.5 feet high, with access to the
part of the basement I left as crawl space.

Built stud frame walls.

Sheetrocked.

Put up cabinetry for all my tools.

Walled off a portion for my woodshop (keep the dust away from the
bikes).

And finally built and installed a swinging garage door.

It's a great space. My private area in the house. I can go down
there and work on the bikes and listen to my music. Usually my son
(15 months) is down there playing with his toys watching me work (when
he's not getting in the way.)

I snipped nothing, it is a great story. Congratulations and enjoy the
time with your son and your motorcycles!

Yeah, couple of us around Houston have a ride planned for the rain
tomorrow. Man, it's gonna be chilly riding through the SH Forest in the
rain. Smile I can't wait. Too bad hubby's working. Oh, wait. He
doesn't ride in the rain. Nevermind.
