I am thinking about adding lights to my Valkyrie. You know the little led's
that are hidden all over.

I want to pimp the bitch out!! The problem is, I do not want to pay someone
to do it.

Anyone have any experience and information on wiring and attaching the
little buggers so I can do a nice job myself?

Thanks,
Jerry

What I want to know Bill, is how did you know about that site and how many
others like that do you hang out on and why.

No Morgan, I am positive I have nothing in common with him and those sites.
(not that there is anything wrong with it.)

Was the reason you wanted to know why I wanted to know why is because you
were hopeful I did, and then you would have something in common with me as
well? Smile

Sorry Jerry,

Too much coffee this morning is my excuse.

My other excuse is that who exactly are you preening for with these cute
little "highlights"? It's bling right? Is this for crusing Main street?
Use the money for gasoline and go for a ride or spend it on a pipe kit,
hotter ignition, LCD brake light kit or something equally as useful.

Again sorry. I just think it's more fun to go riding where no one really
sees me. I really don't care how my bike and I appear to other people.
It's a motorcycle for God's sake not a parade float!

The site? I just made it up. I'm positive it does not exist as typed.

Your comeback? Splendid.

Bill,

Having too much coffee is as good an excuse as any.

You ask some good questions and I will do my best to answer them

> My other excuse is that who exactly are you preening for with these
cute

street?
No one. I happen to think some of the accent lights look really nice and can
enhance the look of the bike at night.

I enjoy riding my bike and I almost equally enjoy taking care of . I try to
keep it looking good because it makes me feel good. And, to be truthful, if
others happen to admire my bike, it makes me feel good too. Don't we all? I
think it is kind of like looking at pretty women. Looking at them makes me
feel good too.

> Use the money for gasoline and go for a ride or spend it on a pipe

Actually Honda did such a good job making this thing, (see bike here:
www.jerryeasley.com) there is not a lot of performance things to do for it
that I think it needs or I want. I modified the exhaust to have a little
sound, but not very much. It has somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 hp
from the factory. Handles like a dream for such a big bike and is
comfortable to ride. I am with you on the brake light kit though and have
been trying to decide on something.

I do not cruise main street, (wherever that is) and usually ride with or
without folks for some long day rides. You could join us any time as well. I
have put on a couple of 600+ mile rides in a day in the not too distant
past.

> Again sorry. I just think it's more fun to go riding where no one

> It's a motorcycle for God's sake not a parade float!

I don't know that I have ever gone on a ride for someone to see me, but if
they do, I am ok with it. Mine or my bikes appearance is for my primary
enjoyment and not others. But if they look, that is ok too. (see above)
Yes it is a motorcycle! A fine piece of machinery that I get a lot of
enjoyment from and feel honored to have. I have never cared for parades by
the way.

> The site? I just made it up. I'm positive it does not exist as typed.
I know you did. And I hope it does not exist. (not that anything is wrong
with it.) Wink

> Your comeback? Splendid.
Thanks!

Now put that coffee to work and help me find some information on installing
and wiring these things up. You may find a little extra bling in your life
would be a good thing too.

Thanks and ride safe. It has been a fun thread.

Yep that would make me a 5%er. I don't allow rust but I've only washed
either beemer a few times. The only chrome is on the pipes and I've
never shined them up once. I'll give it a squirt when the bugs get too
thick!

In a nut shell it's all about the engineering and the riding. I do all
the mechanical work (my equivalent of caressing the bike) but could care
less how it looks to other people. I do like to be seen but only so
people don't collide with me.
