First chance you get, check the lube on the drive shaft spline. Mine went
tits up with grinding noises with 9K on the bike.

cheers

Am in the process of purchasing a 2005 Yammie 1100 Silverado. I am
curious as to what model year your yammie that had the driveshaft
seizure is.

2002. But, that hasn't changed in the 2005s.

I suspect mine was built on a Monday and some hungover dude didn't properly
lube the spline.

My dealer sez ya should check & lube it every 14K miles, but I only had 9K
on the bike. He also said check it every time you have the rear wheel off.

As the fighter jocks say, "Excrement transpires."

cheers
