The forks on the KMX200 have an air-valve on the top which allows you to pump
them up slightly (with Nitrogen preferably, to avoid contamination ) and this
then pre-loads the forks to help the springs over rough ground.I've only once
had them bottom-out, coming down some rock steps about 18" high in the
Pyrenees. There was no other way to get down them other than riding off the top
of each one, and the forks only bottomed on one of them, but I still kept
going. If you're getting them to hit the end-stop when riding on the road, then
the springs are shagged.
