My son brought his KMX back yesterday with water dripping out of the
engine. We took the head off as it appeared to be coming from near the
top mounting bracket. On closer examination there is a hairline crack
behind the mounting, anybody got any suggestions who to try to get a
2nd hand head from, don't think it will be weldable being aluminum & in
an awkward place.

Cheers

The head is easily welded with the right equipment.
Look for an engine rebuilder in your area they should be
able to repair it and then skim the head so that it is true again.
At a push a local steel fabricator should be able to do it.

If you can't find anywhere to repair it try looking on ebay for
another head or full engine.

It's right behind one of the two lugs that form the top engine mounting
bracket, it's also the top bracket which has broken. Looked on eBay last
night & currently nothing available but will keep an eye out. I wondered
if there was any dismantlers specialising in trail/scrambler/xcross etc.
