Leafing through an old copy of Motorsport Aktuell (German Car & Bike racing
mag, I buy it for the trailing swing arms on page 3) I read an article by
Günther Wiesinger about a possible tie-up between Ilmor & KTM, where KTM
would effectively buy the rights to the Ilmor bike and brand it as a KTM.
This would give KTM an easy route back into MotoGP (avoiding the Roberts
debacle of 2005) for a fraction of the cost, they get a ready-made bike &
development team and Ilmor get the much-needed $$$ from Red Bull sponsorship
to carry on. Everyone wins, and we get a new manufacturer on the
grid...Anyone listening in Austria?

They make some damn funny TV programmes though, e.g. Tohuwabohu.

Dining out al fresco at the Youth Hostel restaurant at the top of
the cliff overlooking Old Salzburg is an experience, too.

Ilmor - So what's the deal with these guys, are they really gonna make a run at MGP?

Ilmor 800 starting in 250 race - I suggest the Ilmor 800 bikes start in the 250 race. The Ilmor 800 does the same lap-times as the top 250 guys do, (1:59's) so that should be interesting to watch. Also, the 250 lap time would benefit hugely from this... imagine the 40km/h slower 250,..
