When I ride the SV650 to work, the only place to park is a bright and sunny
motorcycle paddock.
If I want to park in the shade, it has to be at the most extreme end of a
very large parking lot.
At the end of the day, the seat is VERY hot.

How can I keep the seat cool?

Try something that will shade it, it's really that simple.

I used to use a motorcycle cover that I kept in my tank bag.

Obviously you could cover it with something like a white towel but I am
guessing you want a fix you don't have to take along on the ride. You
could purchase a Second Look Seat Skin with the silver seating area. I
purchased a second set of seats for my R6 and put a set of silver and
blue Seat Skins on them. I use them during the summer in Florida. I
wanted white but they only had the silver. The silver stays a lot
cooler than the stock black seats.
