I have a 1991 Honda XR250L that I just bought and am having some issues. First, it is dying on me when I cruise at speeds over 40mph and is difficult to restart. I also have trouble getting it to run smoothly in the morning, the idle is never constant. There seems to be some sputtering during idle. I bled out the fuel line of any air bubbles since both above and below the inline filter there were large bubbles. I do not know what an acceptable amount of air in the fuel line is.
I also seem to be having some blow back in my Supertrapp exhaust. At the point where the Supertrapp secures to the exhaust pipe there is dark black spray that actually is splattering my swing arm and inside fender.
This is my first bike that I have owned, and I have not ridden a bike for about 8 years, but now I commute on this bike, and need it to be reliable any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
What are these carb hose connections for? and what should I do with them?
