| Ok guys here it goes. When I got this bike from the previous owner it basically started right up for them, so I bought it. Since then I have had the bike running three times but here is the problem. The bike started flooding out real bad, well it was flooding out when I got it started before but now I just can't get it started. It was flooding so bad the fuel was running out of the exhasust and power valve cover.
First thing I thought was "stuck float". So I took the carb off and find out that one of the brass floats had broken off the little brass arm. I fixed that and it seems to be holding well. But still flooding out. So I took the carb back off and measured the float level. It needed adjusted. While I had it off this time I cleaned it real good.
Put the carb on and still no start. It is still flooding but not as bad. Before gas would be running out of the exhaust where it attaches to the motor. I got spark and compression. I also have the repair manual for this bike. Could the reeds be the cause of any of this? Any ideas!!
