Turby, you are HARD CORE. You have my utmost admiration.
I hold you in high contempt, uh, I mean esteem.

Occasionally. But I at least have the sense to bring a notebook along.
I stop along the way to make some notes about whatever I'm working on,
and then write off the milage as business milage[1]!
[1] - not really. But I occasionally offer site visits to clients just
because they live at the end of a twisty road.

Who hasn't? I like Fall and early Spring and that's when I'm likely to
take the afternoon off for a ride to a guitar shop in VA beach or
revolutionary war battlefields in Yorktown VA, or just 'ride around".
Now, if you were a real biker, you'd be asking how many take time off
work when the weather is nasty, winds are blowing, and rain is pouring
down to go for a ride -

Glad you can get out after such bad weather.

I'm not much of a fisherman also. I don't know why some get so hyped up
with a rod in hand, luring some lurking swimfin to bite. I'd rather ride
than fish.

Unfortunately, most jobs in the field are not after hours. I have
considered retiring early and driving OTR, 18 wheeler with hazmat cert.

True, unfortunately the working world is less than optimal. However, not
many employers are allowing telecommuting. When I am away from the
politics and interruptions, with a cool one in my hand, lights turned
optimally and in the comfort of the home, I can get a lot done.

Unfortunately, chickens wake up too early. I hear them crowing at 2:30 AM
in the morning. I don't know if it is the street lights or what, that
causes them to do that.

I dunno. You don't see Baywatch in Panhandle Texas.
