Cross USA Question

I live near NYC and I am thinking about going on a cross USA on my FZR600...

I know that I need to do periodic maintenance recommanded by owner's
manual that I check/replace/fix/etc...
1) emission(spark ;lugs, crakcase breather system, fuel line, exhaust
system, carburetor sync, idel speed) every 3,800 miles.
2) engine oil, air, cooling, brake, clutch, cables, side stand & front
fort every 3,800 miles.
3) oil drive chain every 300 miles...

Has anyone out there has venture on long journey on a bike? What are my
options?
I was planning on making a reservation with Yamaha shop somewhere around
Denver(midway) to stop and check my bike on the way to CA and return.

Thank you in advance...

Oktokie

Start with new tires, fluids, and pads. Lube chain frequently and examine
oil level at every other gas stop. Have chain slack checked in Denver. If
bike is in good shape that's probably all you will need.
See you out here,

Saddlebags are Wolfman Hi-pipes, and I was gone for a mere ten days, to me,
making it all the more remarkable on how much hiking, chatting with locals,
and drinking I did in addition to hammering the roads of the west.
Later!
