Post subject: Boots that aren't hot in the summer

What footwear is available that will give at least some ankle
protection and yet be as comfortable as possible heatwise?
Here in the Atlanta area it gets miserably hot and humid. When you
are riding in traffic and your feet feel like they are in a crock pot,
it makes it even more miserable.
Are there any boots made that are mesh or that have air vents or some
such?

Thanks for pointing those out. I confess I cheat on gloves and boots
on the hotter days. I skip the gloves altogether and wear sneakers.
I'll be sure to check out the BMW boots before next spring. The temps

I've contemplated getting a pair of ventilated boots. Do you find the
difference in comfort on hot days very noticeable?

Yes, I'd recommend them in general, but the Sidi boots had weak
zipper pulls. Also, I got caught in a sudden downpour once, and they
filled with water. They also need insoles to be good for walking around
in. But they look really cool!

I hope so. When I read "the seams come apart" I thought you meant the
structural seams that keep the boot in one piece.

Man, that hubris is slicker than owl snot. Since you live in Atlanta I
thought it might have been on Richard B. Russell (GA348) or the parts of 60
