I have a white 2002 Vstar 1100 black stripes color scheme. I have removed
the black stipe from the fenders since it is just tape but on the gas tank
they have clear coated over the tape decal. Does anyone know how to remove
this without screwing up the paint job.

without striping the tank and repainting it, good luck.

the tank has a layer of clear coat that is near impossible to remove.
