bike trade - IMHO the trade is down 50% this year. The are chasing our shop for payments, before they are due, which indicates the lack of trade is in Yorks.

I have a meeting in Brumingham at Lunchtime.

The sky is blue, the weather is clement

Do go on the bike? - or given that the route is mostly
boring M1/M42, and the forecast for later today is shite,
take the wuss option and go by cage?

Decided to go by cage - good decision in that it was pissing
down and blowing a gale on the way back, as predicted
<shock>
Bad decision in that I got stuck in traffic on the M1 for 45
minutes then on the M45, and was an hour late.
Bad decision in that the Galant has developed a *very*
alarming and expensive sounding metallic rustling noise
somewhere around the pulleys/belt on the right side of the
engine. :^(

Cambelt tensioner pully bearing. Get it fixed now, or buy a new
engine.

I intend to, but the noise is actually coming from the belt which
drives the alternator/fuel pump/steering pump/Aircon
