With three weeks to go before we leave Toowoomba, I thought it was time
to check what the deal was with this year's National Dinner. The last I
saw mention of it was about a month or so ago when Smee was looking for
general expressions of interest. I haven't seen anything since.
Has anything further happened?

Watch this space will post something by the end of the week.
So far we can't decide on a venue as it is either "too far, bad service,
too small bad food etc etc."

I'm not fussy as long as they've got topless waitresses.

just make it the Village Green
it has the 4 most important things
easy directions to get to for "everybody"
pay on arrival, no-ones out of pocket if people dont show.
the company well be as good as anywhere else (shit house )
its quite open, so moving around and talking to everyone is quite easy and
there is a play ground for any kids that come along
i think that was 5?
sure the food inst increable, but its about the get together, it you want
great food take yourself to a 5 star

Ok I'll take votes then if people want the village green then it'll be
there again.
I think that's the fairest way if people decide thats where they want.

I just want somewhere I can get too without having to have a Melways
strapped to the tank. And somewhere close to accommodation so I can
crash without having to ride after drinking.

Let me see... Village Green Hotel.
Directions from say... Sydney.
Go down Hume Hwy.
Turn Right onto Western Ring Rd.
Follow Fwy towards Melbourne
Continue over Bolte Bridge and turn left onto Westgate Fwy.
Follow this road until you see 'Ferntree Gully Road' Exit
Turn off here.. go up 500 yards.
There it is on your right.
So..from sydney thats like a right, a left, a left and then a freeway exit.
